VALIDATION_FAILED

HTTP status 400

Report criteria that do not satisfy the report's declared parameters. 400.

A required criterion missing, a value of the wrong type, a value outside a choice list, or a criterion or grouping the report does not declare. Checked before the report runs; errors[] names the criterion.

The API answers with a problem document (RFC 9457) whose type is https://twinn.engineering/errors/validation-failed, and with X-Error-Code: VALIDATION_FAILED. Branch on the code, never on the detail text.
