Over/Under Billings for Sage 100 Contractor

The two numbers that go on the balance sheet every month: billings in excess of costs and estimated earnings, and the reverse. Each job lands in one column or the other, as of the date you choose, and the figures equal the WIP report run with the same options.

It runs in your browser against your live Sage 100 Contractor data, through the Twinn service on your own network, and exports to Excel, PDF or CSV.

How it’s calculated

The same notes Twinn shows beside the report, so anyone reading it knows what the numbers include.

  • Percent complete is cost to cost: Cost to Date / Estimated Cost, capped at 100% unless you allow costs to exceed the estimate. Earned Revenue = Revised Contract x Complete %.
  • Over Billings (billings in excess of costs and estimated earnings) and Under Billings (costs and estimated earnings in excess of billings) are in separate columns; a job has one or the other.
  • Approved change orders approved on or before the as-of date add their approved amount to the contract and their budget to the estimated cost. Tick 'Budget and contract already include change orders' if your company posts approved COs into them.
  • Budgets and contract amounts are today's values: Sage keeps no history of them. Only costs, billings and change orders are cut off at the as-of date.
  • Leave 'As of' blank for everything posted. With the same as-of date and options, the figures equal Job Performance (WIP).
